We believe we can all do more when we work together. This is why the Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc. was founded and operates based completely on partnerships. We are a volunteer-based organization that takes education to our clients, wherever they are, free of charge.
Why We Started
Prior to founding the Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne, Inc. Dmitriy Usher & Mariangel Ayala served as AmeriCorps*VISTA members working in literacy based non-profits and federal anti-poverty initiatives. There, they discovered their passion for service.
As our mission expanded and evolved - so did our name. We began operating primarily as Lifetime.Education when we began servicing Detroit, Michigan and Boston, Massachusetts.
The Homeless Coalition of Fort Wayne is operated by two full-time staff and many volunteers.
